Student and Resident Award

To encourage interest in Vascular Surgery, the Eastern Vascular Society is announcing two awards that will be granted to a Junior Surgical Resident and a Medical Student for the best case-reports of vascular disease cases.

Applicants should be from member institutions located in the Eastern Vascular Society’s geographical area or working with an Active Member of the Eastern Vascular Society and be either Medical Students or Junior Surgical Residents (1st-3rd year) at the time of submission of the case-report.

The manuscript should follow the outlines of a standard case-report, should include relevant illustrations and a comprehensive review of the literature on the subject presented. It should be no more than 10 pages long and contain no more than 4 figures, 2 tables and 15 references. Non-operative, endovascular, and open operative cases are all acceptable.

Winners will present their case-report during the 27th Annual Meeting and will receive a cash award. The Society will also cover the transportation, lodging and registration expenses of the awardees to attend the Annual Meeting at the Greenbrier, September 19-22, 2013.
